ABOUT ME

Personal Trainer, climber, barefoot runner and proud father

I'm Joe, a Personal Trainer and Sports Massage Therapist working in Brighton and Hove.

I am qualified to Reps Level 3, with certificates in spinning, circuits, gym-based boxing and sports nutrition. I'm also a level 4 qualified Sports Massage Therapist. 

I offer a range of PT and massage services, and in the past seven years I've worked with clients of all ages and ability to help them achieve their fitness goals. I work out of Alive Gym in central Brighton, where I also teach circuits. 

MY BACKGROUND

I started young in the fitness world, and was a competing gymnast until I had to retire from injury aged 11. Since then I've dabbled in football, basketball, martial arts, climbing and long distance running. 

I'm a barefoot runner, and regularly work with clients to improve their stamina, endurance and speed to improve their running technique or train for races. I've taken part in several long distance running events - from 10k's to marathons - so I know what I'm talking about! Over the years I've set up regular fitness fundraisers to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support, which have included a 24 hour spin challenge, a 1,700 burpees challenge, and countless running events, including a 24 hour running challenge.

TRAINING WITH ME

As a personal trainer I will make you work hard to get results, without forcing a restrictive diet or unrealistic training schedule on you. 

I offer an individual service to each of my clients, which means I take into account any injuries, medical issues, or particular goals you might have. A typical training session will include different elements such as functional movement, strength training, cardiovascular or HIIT exercises (High Intensity Interval Training), as well as core strength and flexibility.
